The Supervillian Theory of Web Journals
I have recently noticed people, including me all write webjournals (blogger, Livejournal, etc). Now this was no monumental task of course. But why? I can see it being used as a way to get a community of people together, but what about people's with webjournals with the intent of writing in it like a journal? What's their stake in this? why would you potentially expose your thoughts and feelings to everyone on the known net? Now this diary also falls in the category, so i am not exempted.
The Supervillian Theory
people write down their plans and intents for their near or far future with the wish to be caught or stopped.
Everyone knows that basic comic world logic goes. Supervillian does something bad, Hero comes and saves the day. What some Supervillians seem to do is reveal their master plans or leave so much evidence that they will be caught and stopped. I honestly don't think such an accident could happen unless they really intented to fail
So how does this apply to webjournals? Directly, and that is to be caught and refomed. We seek a proverbal hero who will stop us from our insane downwards spiral. So where's my hero? I dunno i don't seem to have enough of a scheme to draw one into my web of SuperVilliany. But maybe someday
